Educational Reform of 1971: A study of Educational debates in São Paulo's Press

Abstract

The Educational Reform 5.692/71 caused many impacts on Brazilian Society, this reform reflected, especially, on policy, structural andorganization changes on Education, causing a series of mobilizations of students, teachers and schools, documented in newspapers of the time. The research project called "Educational Reform of 1971: A study of Educational debates in São Paulo's Press" proposes: a) investigate the debates and discussions on Education Reform of rimary and Secundary Education of 1971 in São Paulo's press since 1971 to 1982, examing the discursive practices of politicians,intellectuals,educators and civil society groups on the Reform; b) Examine the impact of the redistribution of the physical new to work project since 1975; c) Check the social repercussions of curriculum reform in Primary Education; d) Examine the issues and debates about Secundary Education; e) Explain the confrontations of statewide network ofeducation face to the reorganization of schools of Primary and Secundary Education. For this research will be used the newspaper source.
