Abstract

The project intends to determine physical parameters and chemical abundances for a sample of galactic planetary nebulae with bipolar morphology, and use these results to model the objects using a photoionization code. The project has two complimentary parts: new observational data will be collected for a sample of bipolar nebulae and the results, combined to data from the literature, will be used as inputs to the photoionization code "Cloudy", in order to perform the modeling.
