Abstract

Summary The present study treats about questions and reflections about three central themes: school violence, silence and experience. Considering the violence like a subject discussed in several extents of the historical process of the man, we will approach one of his segments - the school violence - that is emphasizing several concerns in the area of the Education. The way as the school violence is constituted and dreamed up ways of exercises of power, sends us to his forms of demonstrations, treating here, more specifically, the silence like one of the forms of language expressed by school violence. In this perspective, we will board the discussions on the subject experience of Walter Benjamim, with the intention of basing our reflections as to the ways of production of sense that involves the forms of language, in particular, the silence. So being, the silence seen like a form of language, and like one of the instruments of the violence, is treated here, like the silence 'fundante', as well as, the form of experience, which can be expressed like producer of sense.
