Abstract

This work aims to quantify and to describe the biomechanics alterations of the gait patterns developed by hemiparetic subjects attacked by stroke, analyzing the relationship between the damage of the upper limbs and the gait pattern, from the integrated kinematics analysis of the upper limbs, lower limbs, pelvis, trunk, scapula and head. . 20 hemiparetics subjects attacked for stroke will be selected, with age between 40 and 60 years. 20 subjects without gait alterations to compose the group control also will be select . It will be made the anthrpometry (body mensurements) of the body segments, as well as the passive and active goniometry of the joints. The kinematic analysis will be made at the laboratory of instrumentation for biomechanics of college of physical education of the Campinas State University, using 8 digital video cameras, the data will be obtained by videogrammetry with the Dvideow system, the model of orientation of the body segments is it proposed by Andrade (2002) and Araujo (2004) that consists of 75 surface markers, considering 15 articulate body segments. It will be made a static trial and a dynamic trial. The treatment of the data will be made in Matlab. The joint angles will be obtained by Euler angle sequence, the location, the path and the displacement of the center of mass will be made calculations, as well as the linears parameters of the gait. In that way, a complete and detailed evaluation of the gait hemiparetic will be accomplished could quantify, to analyze and to characterize the biomechanics alterations precisely found in the gait of those subjects promoting a progress of the researches in the gait analysis and those rehabilitation.
