Abstract

With the addition of new signal in GPS satellites and the advent of Galileo satellites, the satellite positioning will start a new era, which will require technologic and scientific innovations mainly in the combinations of these different systems. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the new signals quality, quantifying their contribution in the positioning quality accuracy. Thus, this investigation has the goal of beginning researches in Brazil about GNSS modernization using the new signals transmitted by the satellites. Besides, it is intended to generate, to implement and to make available a software which accomplishes the absolute and relative positioning with the news signals combining the different navigation systems. Techniques for the processing of the GNSS future measurements must be studied testing processing strategies with different systems.
