During the processing of fishery industry are generated around of 50% of wastes of the total content, which many times, are discarded generating a big enviroment impact. These wastes can be used in the fish oil extraction. The oils fish have high of insaturated fatty acid which are are mobilized from the lipid reserves during gametogenesis, transferred to the ovarian development and incorporated as material nutritional of the egg, serving as main endogenous food source in the embryonic and larval development. The present project will be carried through in two stages. In the first stage, residues of the processing of Nile tilapia and sardine will be collected to the oil extraction and will be carried the oil chemical and nutritional characterization. In the second stage 4 types of diets elaborated with different lipid sources will be supplied lambaris since the larval phase until the reproductive period: (D1) with fatty acid proceeding from a vegetal source (soy oil), used in commercial rations, (D2) diet contend oil of waste of Nile tilapia, (D3) diet enriched with oil of sardine waste, compared with diet without oil addition (D4). In the reproductive period, the fish will be induced artificially to the reproduction and will be evaluated the main reproductive parameters. Of this form, it is intended to verify if different sources of fatty acid and can positively in such a way intervene with the growth how much in the reproductive process of this freshwater species.
