The use of plants by brazilian population stimulated, in the last decades, the process of industrialization and trading of many products of vegetal source. Parallel to industrial increase, it was created rules by ANVISA, that aim to standardize the quality and to warrant the efficiency and safety of this medicines for the people. However the sanitary legislation is severe, the industrial setor of national herbal medicines still dont dispose of accurate and reproducible methodologies that allow the analysis of herbals samples of unequivocal and sufficient manner. The utilization of the High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC), conjugate with spectroscopic analysis technic of diode array (DAD) and mass spectrometry (MS) consist in useful tools for the production of completes chemicals patterns, reproducible and suitable for analysis of herbals samples. Through quimiometric analysis of spectroscopics data of Nuclear Magnetic Ressonance (NMR), attained by references samples, to be able to settle patterns of similarity and phytoequivalence of the available commercial products. In this study, the cited tools will are utilize in standard herbals samples, in herbals raw materials and in commercials medicines of the quebra-pedra, name popular impute to vegetal species of the genus Phyllantus.
