Abstract

In this work, we will study the physical properties of two types of galaxies: the dwarf spheroidal galaxies, one of the most common galaxies in the Universe, and blazars, one of the most powerful objects known in the literature. Dwarf spheroidal galaxies present high mass-to-luminosity ratios and high depletion of gas nowadays as their main characteristics, while blazars emit radiation in the whole electromagnetic spectrum, part of this radiation emanating from relativistic parsec-scale jets driven by accreting supermassive black holes. In the case of the dwarf spheroidal galaxies, our main objective is to study gas loss induced by supernovae from three-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations, while analyses of the kinematical and physical structure of the parsec-scale jets will be sought in the case of the blazars through the usage of Cross-Entropy global optimization technique to model interferometric radio images of these objects.
