During the enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass mixtures of enzymes are used for soluble fermentable sugars. The main enzymes in the mixture are: cellobiohydrolase, endoglucanases, b-glucosidase, a-xylosidases, a-arabino- furanosidases, pectinases, feruloyl esterase, oxidoreductase and other accessory enzymes. Recent research has demonstrated the participation and importance of several main and auxiliary / accessory enzymes in the preparation of the cocktail of enzymes involved in the lignocellulose degradation process. The present proposal aims at the study and characterization of enzymes (±-L-arabinofuranosidase, xylanase, feruloyl esterase e rhamnogalacturonan acetyl esterase) with potential use in the enzymatic cocktail to obtain reducing of sugarcane. The identification of mixtures of enzymes with potential use in lignocellulose hydrolysis will allow the efficient enzymatic treatment and obtaining a higher level of sugars from the biomass. (AU)
