Abstract

This initiative was born with a project funded by FAPESP PIPE FASE I entitled "Technical Viability Study of a Mini Vibratory Source (VIBRO) for the Acquisition of High Resolution Seismic Data" (Proc. FAPESP 2015 / 15988-7) with effect from 01/06 / 2016 to 02/28/17. This project has proved its technical feasibility (partial report attached). Thus, this proposal continues the work of promising results until it presents a date. During Phase I of this initiative and the beginning of the industrial phase of the multi-level sampling initiative for contaminated areas, where an innovative and specific technology was developed by Tec3GEO (Procs. FAPESP and 2013 / 50626-3 and 2015 / 50673-7), we had opportunity to mature this proposal by the discussion with several partners and professionals in the area of geotechnology on the demands and deficiencies in geophysical characterization of high resolution subsurface. At the same time, Tec3GEO was already developing a low-cost seismograph for 2014 for a component (1C), which is currently in the final stages of testing. However, this project is not far from meeting the technical demands needed to match the seismic minisource of the initial proposal, which would be basically its development for three components (3C), as will be described in detail. Thus, Tec3GEO chose to include in this Phase II proposal also the development of a high resolution version (3C) for shallow studies of its seismograph. In this way, we propose a complete solution solution of high resolution seismic instruments for shallow studies in accordance with market demands. With the completion of the product stage of the multi-level sampling system developed by Tec3GEO, already mentioned, a new demand arose in the detailed high-resolution subsurface. This demand came from the outset of the need for information for installation of multilevel device, as well as in studies of various other issues linked to shallow geophysics in general. Seismic is the highest resolution geophysical method, the natural path is research and development in this field. However, high-resolution multi-component seismic applied to shallow cases is still a field of scientific development making this initiative even more challenging and stimulant. This option of aggregating initiatives of minisource and seismograph 3C requires diverse expertises in areas of knowledge, but complementary. In this way, this innovative venture requires highly specialized human resources, bringing scientific knowledge from the academic environment to society through the geotechnology generated in this project. At a time of great changes and opportunities that Brazil is going through. In times where urban water and geotechnical resources have become increasingly important due to population densities with important social demands, the Tec3GEO team strives to bring knowledge and expertise in geosciences to society through entrepreneurial initiatives like this, transforming Needs and demands of the geoenvironmental and geotechnical market in business opportunities.
