This project builds on a current FAPESP project ResNexus (Resilience and vulnerability at the urban Nexus) to (a) quantify the espaciotemporal relations ships between urbanization and health, epidemiological transition in peri-urban-communities of low socio-economic. Urbanization has serious consequences for population is now living in cities, which are increase singly, faced with the trip burden of a nutrition, excessive food waste, and the shifting dynamics of infectious diseases as pathogens adapt to new environments and increased human mobility. Sócio-economic inequalities, environmental and climate change all present opportunities for both infectious and non-communicable diseases, which can am slify the consequences on public health outcomes. Spatial epidemiology has been instrumental identification of communities under emerging infection risks and subsequent agreement however, progress in spatial epidemiology for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is its infancy. We will integrate geoespacial food system sapping, water and sanitation and energy data from brew-incom e urban areas to reveal potentially masked relationships between public health outcomes and urbanization. This will be linked to opportunities for inclusive urban governance. (AU)
