Morphometrical analysis of Brazilian populations of Zaprionus indianus in comparison with African endemic species this genus

Abstract

In this view Dr. Jean David (CNRS / FRANCE) is scheduled to participate in the discussion of the results of research projects at the doctoral level of our research group: Phylogeography of Drosophila sturtevanti (Drosophilidae, Diptera) in the Atlantic Forest Process FAPESP: 2016/11994-5. Genetic variability and population structure of Drosophila sturtevanti in the Mata Atlântica biome. We will also discuss new collaborative projects entitled Morphometrical analysis of Brazilian populations of Zaprionus indianus in comparison with African endemic species of this genus. Dr. Jean David will participate in a Workshop presenting a conference (title to be defined) that will be promoted by the Graduate Program in Biosciences of this Institution during the visit of Professor Jean.In the period will also be a visit to the Federal University of Belo Horizonte and we will also participate in Ouro Preto of the X Symposium on Genetics, Ecology and Evolution of Drosophila, where Dr. Jean will present a conference and participate in the discussion of projects in collaboration with The research group of Prof. Dr. Blanche Christine Bitner-Mathé of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro together with our research group.
