The Internet of Things (Iot) will allow a large number of devices to communicate with us. In this project we propose to investigate the use of wearable computing platforms, enriched with gaze information, for interaction with (Iot) devices. Despite several recent advances in wearable computing (WC), this technology still presents several interaction limitations. Gaze interaction also presents restrictions although it is used with relative success in interfaces for people with physical disabilities. A first contribution of this project will be the development of gaze based interfaces for interaction in wearable computing. In particular, we propose sim pie and fast interactions in an I0T context, where gaze can provide the wearable platform with important context information for use by wearable applications. A first objective of this research is the development of a wearable computer platform composed basically of a notebook, a head-up display (HUD) in front of the user's eye and an eye tracker. Two HUD models, one monocular and one binocular, will be investigated. Once these platforms are built, we will investigate how gaze can be used for interaction, developing new gaze based augmented reality interfaces for I0T devices. (AU)
