Abstract

The visiting researcher will collaborate on two research projects with the responsible researcher, namely: Avaliação de Segurança Dinâmica de Sistemas Elétricos de Potência: Estabilidade de Ângulo e Tensão, supported by CNPq, and Distributed Coordination for a Smarter and Sustainable Power Grid, supported by NsF. Both projects are on the general trust area of increasing the Smart Grids security by means of improving stability margins aspects of the power grid. The activities are common to both projects, and specifically describe the development of a strategy to enhance transient angular stability by integrating innovative techniques of bad data analysis, robust nonlinear distributed control and channel access optimization.
