Abstract

The project is to analyze current and/or forthcoming data from world-class experiments to extract hadron structures and interactions, and to search for physics beyond the standard model (BSM). The project is separated into three parts, Project A, B, C, depending on processes to be analyzed. Project A is to analyze data for hadronic tau decays into one, two, and three light mesons (pi, K, etc.) in a combined manner. A model used in the analysis consists of the light front constituent quark (LFCQ) model for hadronizations of the currents, and a phenomenological hadron interaction model for the hadronic final state interactions. Two- and three-meson scatterings are treated on the same footing by solving the scattering equations including the same hadron interactions; both two- and three-body unitarily are maintained. The analysis will provide the quark structures of hadrons, the hadron interactions, and resonance parameters for axial-vector mesons. Project B is to analyze CP violating (CPV) hadronic tau decays and also B and D decays toward a discovery of BSM physics. For this purpose, we extend the model developed in Project A to a unique analysis tool with favorable features. We conduct a preliminary study of CPV hadronic tau decays. Also, we analyze CPV data for B to D0x h decay (D0x=D0,D0-bar,h=pi, K) followed by D0x decay into three light mesons, determining one of the angles of the unitarily triangle, gamma. Finally Project C is to develop a neutrino-nucleus reaction model for the resonance region that will be crucially important in analyzing data from neutrino oscillation experiments where CPV in the lepton sector is searched for. We also improve the elementary single nucleon reaction amplitudes used in the model. (AU)
