Abstract

This first collaboration project in stereology advances the knowledge introduced in 2003 at UNIFESP, through the course Stereological Methods in Structural Biology, aligned with the constant evolution of methodologies and quantitative microscopy tools used in 3D/4D, requiring frequent updating. Post-graduate students (master's and doctoral levels), post-doctoral fellows, researchers and professors will receive training and continuous recycling in modern stereological tools. The research projects of these students and researchers will be discussed individually (tutorial character) by the visiting professor, who will make suggestions to improve their quality. Several research projects conducted by the departments of Neurology and Physiology will be directly benefited by this visit. (AU)
