Abstract

The objectives of this proposal is acquisition of new equipment to further improve the service provided by the Core Facility: Functional Genomics. This core facility was stablished with support from several institutions. It is fully functional and in the last two years supported research from over 140 principal investigators. More than 14 master students, 42 PhD students and 16 postdoctoral fellows benefited from the facility. To optimize the analysis and improve our service we are requesting three new equipment: Fragment Analyzer; Complementation for a Beckman robot; and a 96 block for QuantSudio. These equipments will allow us to increase the speed and accuracy of the services provided by our core facility and thus benefit researchers in several institutions conducting work in the areas of medicine, biological sciences, agriculture and animal science.
