The supervising teacher in Pibid: trainer of future teachers

Abstract

This project aims to analyze and understand the training processes triggered by two supervising teachers in Pibid - Programa Institucional de Início à Docência (Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching) - from Full Degree in Pedagogy of UNESP (Rio Claro). The participants of the subproject are 10 initiation to teaching scholars, two supervising teachers, a counselor from the university and I, the project coordinator (2014-2017). It is developed in a municipal elementary school, where we realize the jointly need to organize the pedagogical work focusing on encouraging the practice of reading and literature. To understand what is the place of the supervising teacher in Pibid is that this project intend to: a) systematize the theoretical production that leads with the practices of Pibid supervising teachers; b) analyze the training practices imposed by these two supervising teachers to initiation to teaching scholars; c) understand how the activities of Pibid subproject contribute in the training process of the supervising teachers; d) clarify strategies promoted by the two supervising teachers to create a school-university partnership. It is a socio-historical orientation qualitative research that , from a dialogic perspective, consider it a relationship between subjects. I hope that the knowledge resulting from it may contribute to a better definition of the meaning of teachers' initial training in school with the follow-up of experienced teachers. (AU)
