Gravity and quantum field theory

Abstract

The semiclassical gravity or quantum field theory in curved spacetimes has been shown to be efficient to analyze quantum processes in energy scales below the Planck one, where quantum gravity degrees of freedom (whatever they are) are not excited. In this project we propose to investigate various quantum aspects around relativistic stars, black holes, and accelerated reference frames, and revisit a (classical) general relativistic problem, namely, the so-called "swimming in curved space-times."
