In recent years, new analytical methods have been proposed for easy and quick detection of different compounds of interest. In this project, we will develop new architectures for electrochemical sensors and biosensors. Biosensors will be prepared for different diseases: DNA sensor for mutation detection predisposition related to anemia; immunosensor for DJ-1, protein related with Parkinson disease. Moreover, it will be proposed biosensors using tyrosinase and acetylcholinesterase for the determination of pesticides and phenols for environmental analysis. In addition, it will be proposed nanostructured sensors for determination of pesticides and heavy metals in natural water and wastewater samples in order to obtain low cost devices with high sensitivity for field application.
