Abstract

This research has as context the relationship between thought and cinematic images developed by Gilles Deleuze at the confluence with Charles Sanders Peirce ideas, notably those dealing with the taxonomy of signs and phenomenological categories, as Deleuze uses them to think signs /cinematic images. The work "The movement image - Cinema 1" and "The time image - Cinema 2" make up the corpus of this research that aims first to understand how Deleuze articulates the phenomenological categories: firstness, secondness and thirdness and part of the taxonomy the signs of Peirce's semiotics, the concepts of movement image and time image. The goal of this research is to determine the contributions of Deleuzian to the understanding of the relationship between thought and image and explicit methodological strategies for moving images analysis. The relevance of this research is in exploiting the potential of the movement image and time image concepts proposed by Deleuze for the reflection on the thought and the development of methodological strategies of moving image analysis.
