EMU: new generation sequencer - Next-Seq 500

Abstract

This project aims at expanding the facility's equipment park GENIAL (Genome Investigation and Analysis Laboratory) of CEFAP-USP (Facilities Center of Research Support at the University of São Paulo), providing the scientific university community and other national Institutes new equipment for next-generation sequencing, called Illumina NextSeq " 500 sequencing System, and a robot for automation and improve the quality of library construction for sequencing on the Illumina equipment, Neoprep Library Prep System equipment (Illumina). These systems will provide the country's researchers access to the latest technology and increased innovation capacity and international competitiveness. The proposal was approved under the agreement number 01.0026.00 / 2014 signed between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and FAPESP. (AU)
