A framework for vehicular networks aid in the big cities management

The proposed research project aims to build an infrastructure for enabling the management of large cities through intelligent transport systems, aiming at providing mechanisms to provide greater mobility not only citizens but also of all official vehicles of a city like ambulance, car etc. Also, increasing the ability to communicate through the use of vehicular networks and integrating these networks with other network technologies, and provide relevant information to perform the allocation and monitoring of available computing resources, thus allowing better use of computational resources needed for the management of a large city. The project corresponds to the continuation of the research carried out independently after the doctorate. In this period, the spread of data was investigated in the next generation of carrier networks and intelligent transportation systems. The research of this project is of a much larger scope, which aims to design solutions to various problems, such as traffic, surveillance. Scientific and technical innovations in this project are intended to enable the improvement of services provided to citizens, especially in the case of major events such as the Olympics to be held in Brazil in 2016, in aid of managing large classic soccer which mobilizes thousands of people, including other events. This work will be done at the federal Institute of São Paulos of Catanduva campus, with the aim of creating a research group in Catanduva campus. (AU)
