Support for research infrastructure on diagnosis in veterinary medicine (phase vii)

Abstract

The building of diagnosis on Veterinary Medicine is constituted by the rational assessment of the problems or facts, their causes and by the study the effectiveness of the decisions taken. Research on diagnosis in veterinary medicine is all the research that provides information to assist in the recognition of problems and events relating to animals, their health, reproductive efficiency, animal science and welfare and of the effectiveness of the decisions taken on the basis of the diagnosis. The FMVZ/USP favors actions that aims to modernize the laboratory infrastructure directed to these activities and that facilitate integration between researchers from different laboratories, promoting internal and external exchange of people and resources toward this research topic, encouraging and offering access to facilities and equipment. This is a network model where each laboratory works with its specialty and its professional and personal expertise. The phase VI of this project will continue to give continuity to previous projects, advancing in the consolidation of the proposed prioritization of infrastructure modernization and technology support to laboratories on two fronts: a) architectural projects of reforms of research laboratories of the FMVZ departments. a1-architectural projects of infrastructure adaptation of isolated research laboratories of FMVZ; a2-architectural projects of infrastructure reforms of VNP research laboratories in the Campus of Pirassununga; a3-architectural projects of reform of the research laboratories of the Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Surgery and Department of Animal Reproduction in the Campus of Sao Paulo and b) purchase and installation of equipment related to the development of infrastructure to support research on diagnosis. b1-purchase of equipment for video conferencing and switches to the Department of Preventive VeterinaryMedicine and Animal Health.
