Preparation and properties evaluation of conducting hybrid materials supported on non-modified cellulose

Abstract

This proposal aims to use non-modified cellulose (CEL) as support for different electrical conducting hybrid materials. The motivation on using such biopolymer is related to its abundance, biocompatibility and by the fact that it is obtained from renewable resources. This material will be impregnated with silver nanoparticles (AgNP) prepared in different reaction media (aqueous, organic and ionic liquid), in order to obtain membranes to be used as dressings after microbicide evaluation. Hybrid materials of conducting polymers (PC) and silver produced in ionic liquids will be impregnated in the biopolymer in order to produce conductive papers. (AU)
