Plant and high moisture grains silage or dry grains of corn intercropped with grass and/or forage legume and effect on the pasture and common bean in succession

Abstract

Turns or consorting activities of agriculture and livestock within a single property can mean savings and profitability for the producer. Thus, the work will aim at an Oxisol in dryland area, evaluate the production of high moisture corn silage or grain production of corn, Marandu grass consortium and/or pigeonpea in summer, and its effect in succession in grassland in winter; and irrigated area, to evaluate the production of whole plant silage corn harvest in two heights (0.20 and 0.45 m above ground level) in consortium with Marandu grass and/or beans pigeonpea in the summer, and its effect on common beans in succession in winter. Also in the two areas will be assessed the changes in chemical and physical properties of soil in the 0 to 0.20 m, at the end, the economic performance of production systems. The work will be developed in FEPE, belonging to the Faculty of Engineering/UNESP, Ilha Solteira Campus, located in Selvíria-MS. The experimental design will be randomized in blocks in 2 x 2 factorial scheme, with six replications in both areas and agricultural repeated for 2 years. In rainfed treatments are the two consortiuns (corn/Urochloa brizantha and corn/Urochloa brizantha/pigeonpea) for harvested for silage or high moisture grain production only. In the irrigated area will be the same two consortiuns collected in two cutting heights (0.20 and 0, 45 m). The sowing of common bean and management of forage, also the same experimental design consortiuns to evaluate the effect of these remaining straw on the performance of the common bean crop or forage yield in winter, in irrigated and rainfed area respectively will be used. Morphological attributes of plants of corn and common bean, yield components and grain yield of crops will be evaluated. Forages will be assessed the macronutrient, chemical analyzes, besides the content of total digestible nutrients (TDN). (AU)
