Abstract

The proposal now being forwarded continues the Observatory of Migration in São Paulo (Population Studies Center -NEPO- UNICAMP), with support from FAPESP (process number 2009/06502-2, 2009-2013. In this second phase of the research, the issue of Observatory of Migration in São Paulo emerges from the need to deepen the theoretical, methodological and empirical knowledge about the specific settings and that internal and international migration processes take on different areas of the state territory in "age of Mobility". The main objective of this project is to understand and analyze the changes in the national and international migration processes migration to, from and in the State of São Paulo from diverse migratory arrangements. In this sense, focusing on the state context of internal and international migration strongly involves the interior regions of São Paulo and cities, to understanding the social reproduction of socio-spatial, economic, urban, demographic and migratory contingents dynamics. In an inter-institutional and interdisciplinary perspective, incorporate researchers from various academic backgrounds that dialogue with the migratory phenomenon. From the point of view of institutional - academic skills, merges São Paulo researchers from different institutions of higher education and research in the State of São Paulo ( Campinas - NEPO / CEPAGRI / IFCH / FCA ) , UFABC , Carlos Chagas Foundation, the Museum of Coffee and Museum Immigration). Search gathering and analyzing the resulting migration modalities of the new logics of migration and its settings in the contemporary social formation of São Paulo. (AU)
