Abstract

This is a multicenter pilot in a sample of children and adolescents 3-17 years of age. Is planned to developing it in Sao Paulo and six other cities in South America: Teresina (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Santiago (Chile), Montevideo (Uruguay), Lima (Peru) and Medellin (Colombia). The training for evaluators and the design will be standardized and the same methodology will be applied. (i) Develop valid and reliable measurement methods to obtain information from a selected group of children and adolescents (3-17 years old), good precision, and comparability of variables: social and environmental factors, family environment, food intake, preference and food choices, physical activity and sedentary behaviors body composition, oral health, lipids and cardiovascular health biomarkers (ii) to measure the reliability and validity of these methods. Several analyzes will be performed, including: descriptive include calculating the mean, standard deviation, percentage and confidence interval of 95 %. The agreements between measurements were calculated by determining the kappa coefficients for categorical variables and intra class correlation coefficients for quantitative variables. The latter will be complemented by the development of Bland- Altman. Calculated the correlation between the different methods by Spearman correlation coefficients (nonparametric) and Pearson (parametric). (AU)
