Abstract

The National Health Policy for the Elderly (PNSl) proposes detect health problems and signs of fragility, to provide better care to the elderly and consequently improvement in their quality of life. However, tools that facilitate effective actions of these policies are scarce in the planning and monitoring of the conditions of fragility of users in the Unified Health System (SUS). Objective: To develop and test an algorithm that works as a tool for monitoring levels of frailty and associated factors among elderly assisted by the for Family Health Support Center (NASF) on an interior city. Method; This was a longitudinal study with two phases: 1) Diagnosis of frailty in the elderly 2) Sewing and a monitoring tool and associated factors of fragility test 703 elderly people (321 men, 382 women) attended by NASF from the high vulnerability will be assessed. First, a frailty diagnosis subjectively associated with the classification proposed by Fried and phenotype by Scale Fragility of Edmonton will be held. There will also be assessed sociodemographic characteristics, cognition, humor, Balance, Fear of Falling, Pain, independence in basic and instrumental activities of daily living, physical activity, nutritional behavior, Risk of Diabetes and renal Disease, social support and need care. Analysis of blood biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease (ADAM10) and sarcopenia (IL6) will be held. An algorithm is created to direct the care of the elderly according to levels of frailly (not frail, pre-frail and fragile) and their viability will be tested in 10 % of the sample, randomly. (AU)
