Institutional technical reserve 2013: improvement of infrastructure research FCAV-UNESP, Jaboticabal

Abstract

The Laboratory of Electron Microscopy UNESP-FCAV Campus of Jaboticabal (LME-FCAV) was implanted in September 1992, with the donation of appliance electron microscopy of Scanning (MEV) JEOL 25SII coming from the Brazilian Coffee Institute (IBC). This lab, which has as main characteristic be multiuser, was through the program infrastructure launched by FAPESP in the year 1996, bestowed with the acquisition of a Transmission Electron Microscope JEOL J1010, and other appliances accessories (ultramicrotome, loupes , etc). Due the skill of the then Commission for the Management LME-FCAV during the negotiation of values between suppliers, was possible the acquisition, without additive additional one MEV JEOL JSM5410, which is in use since July 1997.Thus, by brief history exposed above, has-if for objective apply reservation technical's institutional FAPESP 2013 obtained by UNESP-FCAV for the acquisition of a new handset of Microscopy Scanning Electron with imaging capability of topography of biological samples in environmental pressure . With this technological enhancement, a series of steps may be unencumbered, like the step from metallization of samples with gold, being these protocols only needed for specific samples. Thus procurement of a new MEV for LME-FCAV will bring the modernization necessary for the continuation of research conducted this unit of UNESP, giving continuity the characteristic primordial multiuser of the laboratory, which also caters to other units of UNESP and IES the region .
