The present project proposes the development of relations between the chemical proprieties and the efficiency of saccharification from polysaccharides on waste produced behind carrageen extraction in different strains from Kappaphycus alvarezii. The hypothesis is based in different strains from macroalgae K. Alvarezii that will show different of aromatics, extractives, hemicellulose and glucan contents. The experimental approach will involve the development of methodology for chemical characterization, pre-treatments and the enzymatic hydrolysis with cellulases and hemicellulases from different strains of macroalgae K. alvarezii. Intend to investigate the possibility of soften expressively (or still change for systems simple of pre-treatment) the conditions of pre-treatment from waste produced behind carrageen extraction of K. alvarezzi. Inside this context, the present proposal intends to evaluation the productive of tillage, the chemical composition and the saccharification from macroalgae in application. In parallel, will be evaluated a pre-treatment with dilute acid and a thermo treatment with water from waste produced behind carrageen extraction in application and to check the possibility of purchase a waste suitable for the saccharification of polysaccharides.
