Research laboratories: history of sciences, communication and semiotics, education for health professionals, and biomedic engineering

Abstract

The present proposal involves four Graduate Programs (Communication and Semiotics, Education for Health Professionals, Biomedical Engineering, and History of Sciences). Nevertheless the laboratories of such Programs will share their resources in order to benefit other Graduate Programs at the University.The present proposal will support the acquisition of equipment and other means to laboratories that are already installed and have received previous support from FAPESP. Five laboratories/ research groups were selected by the University: 1. The research project conducted by professor Ana Claudia Mei Alves de Oliveira at the Laboratory for Socio-semiotics, named Research Life style on large city: São Paulo. 2. The research project conducted by professor Norval Baitello Júnior at the Center for the study of the semiotics of culture and midia, named The V. Flusse Archives. 3. The research project conducted by professor Eliana Aparecida de Resende Duek at the Laboratory of biomaterials. 4. The research project conducted by professor Ely Dirani at the Laboratory for the study and development of electronic apparatuses. 5. The research project conducted by professor Ana Goldfarb at the Laboratory for the study of the history of sciences to be conduzted at the Simão Mathias Center. (AU)
