50 years of feminism (1965-2015): new paradigms, future challenges

Abstract

PROJECT SUMMARY*Clarification to FAPESP regarding the Project review*Research presentation and justification*State of art of the Gender Studies - the known and the gaps*Dictatorship times*Democratic times*Research objectives*Methodological procedures *Expected results*References*Clarification to FAPESP regarding the Project review '50 years of feminism (1965-2015): New paradigms, future challenges.'After studying the observations and critiques to the Project '50 years of feminism (1965-2015): New paradigms, future challenges', we have made the suggested alterations: sectioned the objectives, detailed the methodology and the research dynamics. Within the date of receipt of FAPESP's assessment and the present moment, it is important to clarify what follows:*The Project was fully approved by CNPq in R$100,000.00 as follows: R$62,000.00 for funding and three technical support scholarships.*We have started the research using the resources obtained besides others discriminated ahead.*New participants: we hold meetings biweekly at the University of São Paulo (USP) with the staff, including non-paid members or without scholarships. New participants have been affiliated, as follows: Prof. Dr. Patricia Duarte Rangel, from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora; Prof. Dr. Paula Stroh from the Federal University of Alagoas; Paula Licursi Prates, Doctor from the Public Health School/USP; Luis Felipe Ferreira Mendonça Cruz, doctoral candidate from the Law School/USP; Maíra Teixeira de Macedo Neves, post-graduation student from the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities/USP and Sérgio Flávio Barbosa, coordinator of the Program of Blaming Men who Perpetrate Violence Against Women, from the Health and Sexuality Feminist Collective.*We have organized a National Seminar, held on October 1 and 2, 2013: 'Feminisms and masculinities: trajectories, proposals and challenges to the gender equity' (scheduling attached), with support from the Post-graduation of the Sociology Department from FFLCH/USP, the Social Research Laboratory and the Poli Cidadã (Polytechnic School/USP); substituting, then, the 'Masculinity workshops' previously proposed. *Eva Alterman Blay and Lucia Mercês de Avelar organized two international meetings, the first one in Chile with Sonia Montano (Head of the CEPAL's Women Division) and Virginia Gusman (UN Research of the Institute of Social Development consultant), from March 21 to 25, and the second one in Buenos Aires with Nelida Archenti (Universidad de Buenos Aires) and Dora Barrancos (Universidad Nacional de Quilnes) between May 23 and 27. The trips were funded, in part, by the CNPq's fellowship resources of Research Productivity received by both of them.From these two meetings we have elaborated again the objectives and the methodological aspects, and have defined the necessary procedures to the realization of the comparative study between the three countries.*Ver íntegra em Documentos.
