Abstract

The objective of this research project is to create explanatory models of some Geography concepts (such as landscape, city, place and territory) that can be used as stimulus for effective teaching and learning and, with the concepts, contribute to the construction of an interdisciplinary view of science. The research will be carried out with students of the UNIFESP Pedagogy course, which in partnership with initial grade teachers as well as those educating youths and adults in the municipality of Guarulhos/SP, carry out intern activities, denominated Pedagogic Residency program (Programa de Residência Pedagógica). We intend to institute, through this investigation, a research group which, bringing together the expectations, practices and studies of University students and teachers of the public network, can contribute to an improvement in the quality of teaching in schools in the Guarulhos municipality.
