Conectivity support to ANSP network - annual plan of application of the technical reserve for connectivity to ANSP Network

Abstract

This plan describes how Unicamp plans to apply the resources of the Technical Reserve for Connectivity to ANSP Network made available in 2013. Using these resources as detailed hereby, Unicamp expects to get the improvement of connectivity of its units of teaching and research, of its interdisciplinary centers, of its technical colleges and of its units of service to ANSP network. Currently Internet access through data links that are stable, fast and have an excellent quality of service is critical to any research group that aims to achieve good results and to have nationally and internationally visibility. All Unicamp researchers have access to the worldwide network of computers through network infrastructure that interconnects the various campi of the university to the ANSP network. This access is also provided by using conventional telephone line with modem and virtual private channels (VPN). It allows that a researcher can establish access to Internet from anywhere in the world and use the Unicamp network as if he is in anyone of its campi. In short, this plan aims to improve the network infrastructure to ensure an stable, reliable and secure connectivity of our community of researchers to the ANSP network. (AU)
