Abstract

This research aims to map and evaluate the specialized educational services offered to target students of special needs education in public schools of the city of São Paulo. On national scale, this service is part of a special needs education policy from the perspective of 2008's inclusive education and was regulated by Legal Resolution number 4 of 2009 and Decree 7611 of 2011. It is intended to map and characterize the specialized educational services focusing on the number of classrooms that performs this service, in the geographical distribution of the region, classroom's infrastructure and available educational materials. As well as analyze the given service in these classrooms based on the monitoring of the evaluations in the regular classes and the evaluations based on the Specialized Educational Service teacher's plan. This research that aims at quantity and quality involves two phases: the first, focused on quantity, will be held from informations provided by the Educational Secretary of São Paulo, to come up with the resources' classroom from the Butantã's Regional Directorship. The visit for quantity data colection by the meaning of infrastructure's description and available educational resources in the resources' room of all classroom. And the second, leanning towards quality, based on a geographical and socioeconomic's profile with the collection of evaluation and planning's records, envolving interviews with specialized education teachers and regular ones that the student is registered with. These results are intended to support new researches on this topic and enable the deepening of the knowledge of those educational practices and the issue of teaching and learning consolidated in these educational and pedagogical spaces.
