Construction of a experimental prototype system for active and reactive power control for wind turbines employing the induction generator with wound rotor

Abstract

This research project aims the study of power control techniques for active and reactive power for doubly-fed induction generators (DFIG) applied in wind energy systems. The generator system is based on DFIG directlly conected to the grid by the stator and its rotor is conected to the grid by a bidirection converter. Control strategies for the DFIG power and the bidirection converter will be study. Simulations results are carried out to validate the power controllers.
