The researches dedicated on the historygraphy of the psychoanalysis depend on a large tradition as much the university environment as psychoanaltics, in a way since many papers of Freud about the theme are being produced. Neverless it was from the decate of 1980 that researches about the history of the psychoanalysis have gained larger impetus all over the world, in currently of the higher interest on the theme through the scientific community, the discovery of new historical sources and the methodological improment. In Brazil, the last twenty years have marked the increment of historical researches related to the psychoanalysis, making with a wide specter of themes were gone through, them as : the introduction of the psychoanalysis in differents regions of the country, the creation of Societies of Psychoanalysis filiated to The International Psychoanalytical Association and the emerging of practices dedicated to the children’s psychoanalysis. A survey of these researches shows, between other things, the prevalency of some names which are detached in different moments as central elements of the Brazilian psychoanaltics’ moviment, between them figures Virginia Leone Bicudo. Her origin is humild from São Paulo, Virginia Bicudo (1920-2003) graduated by the Caetano de Campos’ Normal School in 1930, in 1932 she has got the denomination as Sanitary Educator by the Public Higiene and Healthy Institute of São Paulo and, in 1936, she conclued the bachalor’s degree on Social Sciences by the Sociology and Politic School of USP, figures on the history of historygraphy of the psychoanalysis in Brazil as: founder of the Brazilian Association of Psychoanalysis of São Paulo, the Psychoanalysis’ Association of Brasília and the Psychoanalysis’ Brazilian Magazine, besides of being indicated as the precusor of the psychoanalysis in children of the country. Departing from the hypothesis the Virginia Bicudo had vital participation on the introduction and development of the psychoanalysis in Brazil and considerening that they are very precarious and inaccurates the biogrphycal scketches that look for delined her participation on these events, this present research arises with the objetive of building a biografical profile of Vírginia Bicudo, which inter-relate the vicissitudes of her personal life, the characteristics of her professional practice and theorycal production while psycanalist and the scientific contexts, social and cultural of the historical period that she has lived. For such, we are going to realize a qualitative study of the historycal nature period which will ultilize oral sources through the interview with professionals, relatives and friends who cohabited with the bigraphycal personage, and souces of documents, through the survey of the institutions where she had actuated and analasis the extention theorical production on book, newspapers and magazines.
