Abstract

This project proposes the establishment of an integrated system of solidary economic enterprises as a condition to territorial development of districts with population on social risk conditions in a medium-sized city in the State of São Paulo, by means of articulation of different stakeholders and by having as the protagonist a collective enterprise on cleaning buildings with 250 associated workers - all residents in the concerned territory, inserted in the field of Solidary Economy and with perspective of acting out and beyond the enterprise, expanding social benefits to the local community. The project has the county authority as a partner, represented by the department which supports the Solidary Economy, as well as the democratic participation of the local community and of other stakeholders which share the same objectives and perspectives, from the early stage of collecting data to the implementation of the project. Incubadora Regional de Cooperativas Populares da UFSCar will be responsible for the coordination of works and for the guarantee of conditions to production and publicity of knowledge simultaneously to the intervention activities, as well as continuous education of all participants. As the results, the project aims to generate systematized information about needs, possibilities and resources to define directives to the integration of sectorial public policies (education, labor and yield, health, habitat, environmental sanitation, etc), by having the Solidary Economy as the reference, with priority to attending children, youth, people leaving social programs, women and disabled people.
