Engineering education: project based learning (learning based on Interciplinarie projects)

Abstract

The objective of this project is to receive Prof. Rui Lima as a visiting professor for 2 months in EEL-USP, July 21 to September 21, 2013, to: - Speech in an EEL-USP workshop on training and skills development required for students in PBL environment. - Assist in the creation of the Research Group in Engineering Education and projects that enable the development of a professional profile, focusing on soft skills in order to enhance the skills of basic technical engineering education. - Support the development of a model of assessing learning and development of students' skills in project environment. - Support the creation of a model to evaluate the impact of these methodologies at EEL. - Actively support the consolidation of the emerging group of research in Engineering Education with a focus on active learning methodologies- Act in adopting methodologies based learning PBL courses in Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental and Materials Engineering at EEL-USP. - Assist in the line of interdisciplinary research Lean Project Management. The area of Lean Enterprise, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma has been explored at EEL under the supervision of the principal.- Work on Teaching Improvement Program (PAE) of USP students for Graduate enrolled in master's and doctorate, whose main goal is to enhance the training the graduate to undergraduate teaching activity.
