Evaluation of colostral buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) with and without mastitis and immune serum levels of buffalo calves

Abstract

The articles concerning measurement and identification of cytokines in colostrum and milk are carried out in bovine animals of dairy breeds, there is no international or national literature work relating to species bubalina. Thus, this project aims to evaluate the colostrais secretions of buffaloes with and without mastitis in relation to concentrations of immunoglobulins, cytokines, acute phase proteins. For this purpose, samples of colostrum of 30 females crossbred Murrah, hartebeest and the Mediterranean, will be used. The same determinations will be made in the serum of their calves. Samples of blood and colostrum will be taken soon after birth and over 48 hours. (AU)
