Abstract

The Brazilian soybean production dispenses entirely nitrogen, nitrogen compounds all of this plant comes from the symbiotic association, making the product highly competitive Brazilian. Conversely, glyphosate can affect biological nitrogen fixation due to reducing the nickel content, this being essential micronutrient for the symbiotic microorganisms, while the glyphosate can also influence the symbiotic nitrogen fixation. Since there is no conclusive studies on the rate of nitrogen fixation in RR soybeans, after the application of glyphosate, the present study is to obtain a profile of the influence of the application of glyphosate in geneticaly transformed soybeans on the stability of the system nitrogen fixation, transport and metabolism and accumulation of ureides, by quantifying ureides present in tissues (leaves, roots and nodules) versus the nitrogenase enzyme activity in vivo and alantoinase in vitro.
