Abstract
The Board approved at the meeting held on 15/08/2011 the implementation plan of the institutional technical reserve, which is the acquisition of a gas chromatograph with a flame ionization detector and auto sampler for liquid samples. The main technical applications of the equipment are the quantification of monomers and additives in plastic packaging, determination of specific migration of additives and monomers, determination of substances responsible for taste and odors in packaging and food, quantification of residual solvents in plastic packaging and varnishes metal packaging, quantification of acetaldehyde, evaluation of impurities in plastics and other materials. With this acquisition, ITAL will expand its research on these issues. (AU)
