Adventure and outdoor learning cultures

Abstract

Professor Barbara Humberstone has extensive experience in the study of adventure and outdoor learning cultures. It is known that the experience of these practices associated with educational objectives could promote human development in its different aspects. Professor Barbara will attend the VIII Congresso Internacional de Educação Física e Motricidade Humana and XIV Simpósio Paulista de Educação Física, organized by Departament fo Physical Education (IB-UNESP, Rio Claro-SP) from May 29th to June 1st/2013 as invited speaker: Adventure sports in focus. Professor Barbara will also participate in the Graduation Programs: Ciências da Motricidade e Desenvolvimento Humano e Tecnologias (IB-UNESP, Rio Claro-SP), presenting her results with graduate students and faculty. She is going to discuss international exchange program. She will visit the Graduation Programs at, UNICAMP-Campinas/SP and UNIMEP-Piracicaba/SP, with discussions of research projects with graduate students and faculty. Moreover Professor Barbara has relevant publications in her expertise area, she is editor in chief of the Journal of Adventure Education and Outdoor Learning, and her experience could improve our international publications.
