Study of Integrated Process for Ethanol 1G Production and Recovery

Abstract

In this project will be studied experimentally and by simulation, production and recovery ethanol process alternative to conventional ethanol fermentation process followed by the distillation stage. It is proposed to study the extraction and recovery of the ethanol in the fermented wine without cells, produced in conventional process or ethanol of the broth during extractive fermentation using two different techniques, solvent extraction and extraction by stripping with carbon dioxide. The results will be evaluated in terms of ethanol productivity and economic and they will be compared with those obtained in the traditional process. (AU)
