Abstract

This project aims to continue and strengthen the collaboration that was initiated in the last two years with support from FAPESP, within which interactions with relativistic models were introduced to describe the electronic properties of graphene and nanotubes. We aim to deepen our study of graphene and bigrafeno through relativistic effective models using techniques borrowed from Quantum Field Theory. Another goal is investigate the results obtained using lattice QCD for the gluon propagator and the connection between confinement and chiral symmetry. In this sense, we plan to continue the exploratory work already submitted for publication. Further, we also plan to continue our investigation of dark matter models, looking for the phenomenological implications of the work submitted for publication. Finally the project aims to strengthen the collaboration between the Center for Computational Physics Department of Physics, University of Coimbra and the Institute of Aeronautical Technology. (AU)
