Documentary theory and history: cinema vérité and fiction in French modern cinema

Abstract

The plan of the visit of Professor. Michel Marie in Brazil consist of research activities and exchange with researchers distributed as follows: 1. Monthly meetings with the CEPECIDOC (Center for Documentary Studies/UNICAMP) to discuss theoretical and historical issues related to Documentary Film; 2. Weekly advanced seminars in the Graduate Program "Programa de Pós-Graduação em Multimeios/UNICAMP"; 3. Weekly schedule reserved for orientation and discussion of research projects at the CEPECIDOC; 4. Interaction and discussion with the proposals and theoretical line of Research Project "Staging The Documentary", which anchors this request ; 5. Visit the University xxxxxxxxxxxxxx with activities for discussion and exchange offers; 6. Participation in the Colloquium Pierre Perrault; 7. Deepening of the ties existing between the CEPECIDOC (Research Center for Documentary Film) and IRCAV (Institut de Recherche sur le Cinéma et l'Audiovisuel), pointing toward a greater exchange of teachers and students.
