Visit of Dr. John I. Pitt from CSIRO Food and Nutritional Sciences - Australia

Abstract

Dr. Pitt is an authority on fungi and mycotoxins in foods. The objectives of his visit are: i) to continue the research projects on: fungi, mycotoxins in coffee, cocoa, brazil nuts and other; (ii) fungi identification, visiting farms and meetings with public and private sectors. Besides that the Workshop on Fungi and Mycotoxins in food will be carried out for Institutes, Universities, food companies, students and others and it will have a multiplier effect on Food Mycology and Mycotoxin knowledge in Brazil.
