Abstract
During his two-months visit to ICMC-USP, Professor Qin Yuming will be collaborating in two local projects, namely, Nonlinear Dynamical Systems of Infinite Dimension, under coordination of Prof. Alexandre Nolasco de Carvalho, with grant from FAPESP (Thematic Project) and Asymptotic Dynamics of Nonlinear Hyperbolic Equations, under coordination of Prof. Ma To Fu, with grant from CNPq (Bolsa Produtividade). The central theme for this visiting project is the research in non-autonomous nonlinear wave equations and their pull-back attractors. Professor Qin Yuming is a senior researcher in nonlinear dynamical systems, working in compressible fluids dynamics, themo and visco-elasticity, pull-back attractors for non-autonomous dynamical systems. Recently his published his book Nonlinear Parabolic-Hyperbolic Coupled Systems and Their Attractors, Birkhauser, Basel, 2008. 465pp. (AU)
