Quantum field theory and noncommutative geometry

Abstract

This project is a continuation of a collaboration at an intersection of Quantum Field Theory and Noncommutative Geometry with the objectives to study the spectralaction with applications to particle physics, and to use the Quantum Field Theory methods for computations in Noncommutative Geometry. During this visit we shall (i) elaborate the methods to extend the spectral action to physical Lorentzian space-times, (ii) use the heat kernel to evaluate the Connes-Moscovici cohomologies on manifolds with boundaries.
